Mike Tyson ligado con casos de asesinato

NUEVA YORK (AP) - El ex campeón de la división de los pesados, Mike Tyson, ha sido vinculado con dos planes de asesinato en un oscuro caso de delincuencia organizada que involucra a una pandilla narcotraficante del vecindario donde vivió el ex astro del boxeo.

Los testigos en el juicio han señalado que Tyson fue la persona que financió uno de los planes. En el otro, el propio Tyson era considerado una víctima potencial, pero se le excluyó por motivos religiosos.

Tyson ha negado tener conocimiento de cualquier actividad realizada por una violenta pandilla que está en el centro del caso. Pero su nombre fue mencionado varias veces durante testimonios recientes en el juicio, por parte de una persona que supuestamente conducía un vehículo para que los delincuentes huyeran en dos casos de asesinato.

¿Se asoma otro lío legal para Tyson?


Durante los últimos argumentos del lunes, el vicefiscal federal Sean Haran recordó al jurado que había "evidencias de que Mike Tyson pagó 50.000 dólares para matar" a dos sujetos. El abogado defensor Richard Lavitt advirtió que quien describió el plan de los asesinatos que involucran a Tyson es "indudablemente un mentiroso".

El ex boxeador emitió una declaración en la que consideró las acusaciones "totalmente falsas". Añadió que estaba cansado de que la gente mencionara su nombre sin pruebas.
